چکیده
ABSTRACT The intra-parasequence scale is still relatively unexplored territory in high-resolution sequence stratigraphy. analysis of internal genetic units parasequences has commonly been simplified to the definition bedsets. Such simplification insufficient cover complexity involved building individual parasequences. Different types have previously identified and characterized successive wave-dominated shoreface–shelf Lower Cretaceous Pilmatué Member Agrio Formation central Neuquén Basin. Sedimentary stratigraphic attributes such as number units, their thickness, proportions facies associations regressive interval, lateral extent bounding surfaces, degree deepening recorded across these boundaries, type associated transgressive deposits are quantitatively analyzed this paper. Based on quantified attributes, three different scales identified. 1) Bedset complexes 10–40 m thick, basin upper-shoreface successions, bounded by 5 16 km-long surfaces with a one belts. These represent highest hierarchy vertical stacking two or them typically forms an parasequence. 2) Bedsets 2–20 offshore up 10 km long zero belt. Two bedsets stack vertically build bedset complex. 3) Sub-bedsets 0.5–5 transition 0.5 2 sub-bedsets form proposed methodology indicates that combination thickness proportion interval can be used discriminate between sub-bedsets, whereas for higher ranks (bedsets complexes) deepening, characteristics shell-bed become more effective. Finally, results compared other ancient Holocene examples improve understanding high-frequency evolution systems.

Quantitative formulation of reliability in stratigraphic correlation.
The probability that two stratigraphic events are in a particular order in a section in which they occur in sequence is p. Because of finite sampling, statistical techniques are used to calculate the parameters p' and p(l), which express the uncertainty of our knowledge of p; p' is the measured value of the maximum likelihood estimator of p and p(l) is the lower end point of the confidence inte...
متن کاملFeasibility of Two-Dimensional Quantitative Sonoelastographic Imaging
In this paper, a two-dimensional (2D) quantitative sonoelastographic technique for estimating local shear wave speeds from slowly propagating shear wave interference patterns (termed crawling waves) is presented. Homogeneous tissuemimicking phantom results demonstrate the ability of quantitative sonoelastographic imaging to accurately reconstruct the true underlying shear wave speed distributio...
متن کاملRelations between Deep and Shallow Stratigraphic Units of Northern Iraq during Cretaceous
The studied area includes Sulaimani, Erbil and Dohuk Governorates where Cretaceous rocks are well exposed in the High Folded Zone of North and Northeastern Iraq. This area is part of the northwestern boundary of Arabian platform near to Iranian border. In these governorates, the study tries to clarify the relations between deep and shallow stratigraphic units (formation or facies) during Cretac...
متن کاملQuantitative Dip Bounds for the Two-dimensional Discrete Wavelet Transform the Two-dimensional Discrete Wavelet Transform
An analysis of the discrete wavelet transform of dipping segments with a signal of given frequency band leads to a quantitative explanation of the known division of the two-dimensional wavelet transform into horizontal, vertical and diagonal emphasis panels. The results must be understood in a \fuzzy" sense: since wavelet mirror lters overlap, the results stated can be slightly violated with vi...
متن کاملThree Dimensional Symmetry from Two Dimensional Data
In previous applications, bilateral symmetry of objects was used either as a descriptive feature in domains such as recognition and grasping, or as a way to reduce the complexity of structure from motion. In this paper we propose a novel application, using the symmetry property to \symmetrize" data before and after reconstruction. We rst show how to compute the closest symmetric 2D and 3D conng...
